The Foundation is a charity set up to benefit and promote education of young people within music.

Awards of up to £1000 will be given annually to between two and four musicians aged 18 to 24 years old to support their further education studies, purchase musical instruments, fund recording and performance projects, making video content and / or giving financial assistance for courses.

Recipients must be attending an accredited further or higher education course in East Riding of Yorkshire.  Applicants must demonstrate that they have experience of writing, producing or performing music for an audience and set out very clearly how the funds will be used to support their development. Requests to fund business overheads like professional fees or marketing costs are not eligible.

Applicants will be asked to submit audio examples of their work as a musician and to make a video answering specified questions about their musical achievements and ambitions.

Applications to be submitted directly to the trustees before the 31st January 2021 with awards announced shortly afterwards.

Applicants with current management, label representation, publishing etc. are ineligible for this grant.
